Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Safer mobile application and related services (the "Service"), provided by Safer Global. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Safer. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.

2. Your account

• You are responsible for the activity that happens on your account and for keeping your login credentials secure.
• You agree to provide accurate emergency contact and profile information so the Service can function as intended.
• You must notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent purpose.
• Trigger false emergency alerts or misuse SOS and Watch Me features.
• Share another person's location or data without their consent.
• Interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service.

4. Location, audio & trusted contacts

Safer relies on location, and in some cases audio, to provide safety features. By using these features you consent to the collection and sharing described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for choosing your trusted contacts and for ensuring they consent to receiving your alerts.

5. No emergency-service guarantee

Safer depends on factors outside our control, including your device, network connectivity, location accuracy, and the availability and responsiveness of your trusted contacts. We do not guarantee that alerts will be delivered, received, or acted upon. Safer is not a substitute for professional emergency, medical, or law-enforcement services.

6. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, and content, is owned by Safer Global and protected by law. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for personal, non-commercial safety purposes.

7. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Safer Global is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service. Please also read our Safety Disclaimer.

8. Termination

You may stop using Safer and delete your account at any time (see Delete Account). We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or misuse the Service.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or by email. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
